What San Gabriel Valley Progressives are doing, and what you can also do;

On Sat., September 17, 2011, several SGVProgessive members joined other regional Progressive and Democratic groups for a picnic and get-together at San Dimas Canyon Park.
Many local political leaders also attended, including Congressperson Grace Napolitano, State Senators Gloria Negrete-McLeod and Ed Hernandez, and State Assemblyman Tony Portantino, and several candidates for office.
There was great weather, great food, and a chance to speak with so many of our elected leaders and candidates for office.

If you would like to make a difference, boycott products manufactured by Koch Brothers companies, along with products that use fabrics and other components manufactured by Koch Brothers companies. The Koch Brothers own Georgie-Pacific, which makes the following product brands:

Brawney paper towels
Dixie plates, bowls, napkins, and cups
Mardi Gras napkins and towels
Quilted Northern toilet paper
Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper
Sparkle napkins

Zee napkins

The Koch Brothers own Invista, a company than manufactures polymers and fabrics, and Stainmaster carpets. They also manufacture Codura fabrics, Tactel nylon fiber, and Antron commercial carpet fiber. Codura fabrics are used in the manufacture of numerous luggage products, including backpacks produced by Eastpak and Jansport.

Other Koch Brothers companies include Koch Pipeline Co that owns and operates 4,000 miles of pipeline used to transport oil, LNG (liquid natural gas), and chemicals, Flint Hill Resources, that operates oil refineries in six states, and Koch Fertilizer, that owns all or part of fertilizer plants in the US and four foreign countries.
